Allergic rhinitis, a common condition characterized by nasal congestion, sneezing, and itching, significantly impacts the quality of life of affected individuals, especially children. The mean clinical score, based on symptom severity, decreased by over 60%. All children experienced improved nasal airflow. Notably, total IgE levels, as well as blood and nasal eosinophils decreased. Not all children with allergic rhinitis develop asthma but they do all develop inflammation of the airways in response to allergens leading to swelling, mucus production and airway constriction.
