Artificial colours are used to give supplements an appealing colour. Artificial colours have been linked to hyperactive behaviour in children, DNA damage (toxic to genes), and other concerning side effects which we cover below. Artificial colours are especially common in food, beverages, medications, and supplements consumed by children. Children are exposed to more artificial colours than adults.
